pomegranate underground is an art gallery for the underdog

LINK // For this piece, another commissioned one from D, I got to interview a couple running an extraordinarily unique art gallery out of their home. Pomegranate Underground stands for social consciousness as well as inclusivity, and they have some seriously dope art. Check them out here.

wonder women in marchesa

LINK // My co-intern and I interviewed Keren Craig, co-founder of the Marchesa fashion line. She's a strong, powerful woman, and we took that angle in this piece. Besides getting to meet Keren, I learned how to conduct a formal interview and shape my piece around it.

shannon beveridge on how to become internet famous

LINK // This is a freelancing piece I wrote for D Magazine's online Arts & Entertainment section of the blog, FrontRow. I interviewed a famous YouTuber and assembled this Q&A. This was my first freelancing piece for a major publication, the first time I was being paid for my skills in writing, interviewing, and meeting deadlines. It's also near to my heart because it's about a woman whose strength and ability to be unapologetically herself I've admired for a long time. She's also an incredible advocate for the LGBT community, and was a privilege to speak with.
